Thank you for visiting the website for the development of the Guidelines for Hybrid Meeting Service International Standard. The MICE industry, which encompasses Meetings, Incentive travel, Conventions, and Exhibitions, is a “knowledge-intensive high-value-added industry” closely linked with tourism, leisure, accommodation, and related businesses, being nurtured competitively worldwide. However, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, offline events became difficult, leading to a shift towards online or hybrid events combining online and offline elements. Nevertheless, systematic responses to these changes are lacking from an industrial perspective.

Therefore, our research team aims to secure a leading position by preemptively establishing standards related to hybrid meeting services, considering the importance of technology being utilized in the evolving meeting service industry in the post-COVID era. We will gather expert advisory panels, explain the importance of hybrid meeting service guidelines from both industrial and academic perspectives, and develop standards that can contribute to the actual industry. Through regular workshops, we will continuously discuss and develop directions and strategies.

The International Standard Development Team for Guidelines of Hybrid Meeting Service promises to strive even harder to lead the global hybrid meeting industry responsibly.
