We anticipate that ISO18983 Guidelines for hybrid meeting service will become an IS(International Standard), enabling us to achieve the goals.

Response to increasing Hybrid event

Hybrid meeting is a big trend as a type of event.
Organizer and participant also familiar to Hybrid meeting.

Represent to various stakeholders

Until now the Global Hybrid meeting system is led by technical companies, and hence, we should suggest a standard in the perspective of service providers.

Expansion of participants

Hybrid meeting can expand participants. Moreover, it can create new business models.

Introduction of Project

2022

[First year]

  • Suggested draft ISO/PWI18983 Guideline for hybrid meeting service
  • Listen expert’s opinion and set up the long-term direction for its development

2023

[Second year]

  • NP Proposal ballot start : 26th,Oct
  • Construct a forum on its standardization and have regular workshops
  • Set up ‘expert pool’ and advisory committee with industry-academic cooperation
  • In the process of hybrid meeting KS(Korea Standard)
  • Propose hosting the TC228 meeting in South Korea

2024

[Third year]

  • NP balloting end date : 14th, Jan.
  • Draft for WD/CD Proposal and approval
  • Analyze the case of hybrid meeting and develop the performance index

2025

[Fourth year]

  • DIS Approval and FDIS Request
  • Collect opinions on the service development plan from a domestic and international industries
  • Request for proposal to attract General Assembly of ISO/TC228 in 2025 to Korea

2026

[Fifth year]

  • FDIS(IS) Approval
  • Start to match IS to the domestic
  • Start to promote IS of hybrid meeting service guideline home and abroad
  • Publish the analyzing report for IS development result
  • Hold meeting: General Assembly of 2026 ISO/TC228 in Korea –
  • Expected 100 participants
